What does MusicWipe do?
MusicWipe is a video music remover for iPhone, iPad and Mac. It separates your video's soundtrack into dialogue, music and effects, removes the background music, and keeps the dialogue and the sound effects and ambience.
How is it different from other background music removers?
Most tools that remove music from a video keep only the voice, so footsteps, applause, wind and room tone disappear along with the song and the footage sounds dead. MusicWipe keeps the effects and the ambience, and an ambience slider lets you decide how much of them to keep.
Can I remove music from a video and keep only the voice?
Yes. Turn the ambience slider down to keep the dialogue with little or none of the room sound, or up to keep the full scene. Changing the slider is instant and free.
Is the separation perfect?
It is very good, but not perfect. Some videos can keep faint traces of the music, or lose a little of the sound you wanted to keep. That is why every video starts with a free 30-second preview, so you can hear the result before you clean the whole thing.
Will removing the music prevent copyright claims?
No tool can promise that, and MusicWipe doesn't. Only process footage you have the rights to use. MusicWipe is for cleaning up your own videos, for example so you can replace the music with a track you are licensed to use.
Does my video get uploaded?
No. Only the audio track leaves your device. It is processed in the cloud and then deleted automatically. Your video stays on your iPhone, iPad or Mac.
How long do you keep my audio?
Separated audio is deleted 24 hours after your job finishes. Uploads that are abandoned before processing are deleted within 2 hours. As a backstop, nothing stays in storage for more than 2 days. Your audio is never used to train models and never sold.
Does it lower my video quality?
No. Exports replace only the soundtrack and don't re-encode the video, so the picture is exactly as it was.
Which devices does it run on?
iPhone and iPad with iOS or iPadOS 18 or later, and Mac with macOS 15 or later. It is one app, and a single subscription works on all three.
How much does it cost?
Free includes 30-second previews, up to 20 a day, plus 10 full minutes once. Creator is $9.99 a month or $79.99 a year for 120 minutes a month. Pro is $24.99 a month or $199.99 a year for 600 minutes a month, plus batch processing and lossless export. A top-up adds 60 minutes for $4.99.
What counts as a minute?
Plans are measured in minutes of audio processed. A 3-minute video uses 3 minutes when you clean it in full. Changing the ambience slider afterwards is free.
Do top-up minutes expire?
No. Top-up minutes never expire.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Billing is handled by Apple. Cancel anytime in your Apple ID subscription settings on your iPhone, iPad or Mac.
When can I download MusicWipe?
